Broadland Wineries made £70.6 million in the 12 months to March 2019, an increase of 11.6% on the previous year, while pre-tax profits rose to £2m, compared with £0.3m in 2018. The Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux has named Bernard Farges as its new president after its general assembly this Monday. Farges, a vine-grower, will take over from incumbent Allan Sichel, a négociant, whose three-year term at the head of the Bordeaux Wine Council is coming to a close. Farges runs a co-operative in Mauriac in Entre-Deux-Mers and was previously president of the CIVB from 2013-2016.
