Job Description

Overproof is looking for a social and digital media expert to strengthen our marketing and commercial team. Rapidly expanding its market presence, Overproof is in the process of operationalizing its marketing activity, go-to market strategy and sales structure. The Social & Digital Media Manager fulfills a crucial role in building, activating and maintaining Overproof’s social and digital presence. You are a person who thrives in a start-up company culture, and does not shy away from a challenge.

The person to fulfill this role needs to be comfortable in an often undefined, ambiguous environment and a rapidly changing outlook of tasks at hand. You are flexible in your approach to challenges and work at hand, are results-oriented, and performance focused. You can multi-task and divide your attention across multiple simultaneous deliverables if need be. You are a strong team player.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


On a day-to-day basis, you are responsible for the planning, execution and measurement of Overproof’s social and digital media activity. You will be involved in a multitude of social media, marketing and advertising activities, ranging from developing paid and organic social media strategy, developing quarterly and monthly social media content calendars, developing social media content across various platforms, ensuring content is scheduled and published on time and to specs, analyzing social and digital media activity, generating sales leads through digital marketing, and social media community management. You are a self-starter, and are excited to help build a company from the ground up. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing research on Overproof’s industry and competitive environment, trends, and audience preferences
  • Designing and implementing social media strategies across platforms and audiences to align with business goals
  • Managing organic and paid social media activity across platforms, and report on ROI
  • Plan, generate, edit, schedule and publish social media content on a daily basis. Content will include original text, images, photos, videos, reposts and company updates
  • Managing Overproof’s social media community, including communicating with followers, and responding to questions/comments in a timely manner
  • Apply, monitor and optimize search and web traffic metrics connected to social media platforms
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI team to ensure social media content is on brand and adheres to design guidelines
  • Working with retailers, vendors, and other stakeholders on advertising, marketing and sales activities pertaining to social media
  • Interacting and collaborating with consultants and contractors as needed within the social media scope and activities
  • Analyzing social media performance, ensuring content is optimized on a continuous basis and learnings are implemented for each publishing cycle
  • Contributing to the day-to-day maintenance and experience of Overproof’s web content and navigation, by populating, maintaining, and designing webpages


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or Media Management or a related field
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible work experience in a relevant position
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter
  • Hands-on experience in digital marketing, content management, social media strategy, and community management
  • Strong experience in social media analytics and paid/organic optimization
  • Solid knowledge of and experience in SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of or experience in B-to-B marketing and sales environments
  • Experience in or affinity with the beverage alcohol industry
  • Knowledge graphic design software preferred
  • Excellent copy writing and oral communication skills


  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient, effective and timely manner
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to arrive at solutions and suggest improvements to processes, projects or protocols
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with proven project management skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to the Overproof leadership team, coworkers, partners, prospects, customers, the media, and other external groups
