Antonio Galloni’s wine media platform Vinous has acquired valuation service Cellar Watch from Liv-ex it has been announced.
Vinous will take control of the platform from the middle of January next year. The site will retain all of its features, subscribers will continue to have access to Liv-ex data and apparently will soon be enjoying a number of upgrades which will include access to scores and tasting notes from Vinous, which has a library relating to over 300,000 wines.

“Now consumers can make informed wine decisions with the help of Vinous’ all-star team of critics and track the valuation of their wine collection with Cellar Watch. Through our suite of products, Vinous has taken a leadership position in wine information, with the goal of meeting the diverse needs of wine consumers at all levels.”
Since launching out on his own in 2013, after several years at Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, Galloni has been steadily expanding the Vinous empire. In 2014 he joined forces with Steven Tanzer‘s website, International Wine Cellar.
In 2016 he acquired the Delectable app and in 2017 poached UK critic Neal Martin from The Wine Advocate as well to cover Bordeaux, Burgundy, South Africa and New Zealand.
